Our principles

• Recommendations should solve real problems.
• We clearly distinguish firsthand testing from research and never claim testing that did not occur.
• We correct factual errors and note material updates where appropriate.
• Important product limitations, subscription costs and setup requirements should be stated.
• Privacy implications deserve the same attention as features.
• We avoid fear-based marketing and do not exploit anxiety around ageing, illness or dementia.
• Affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly and do not determine the conclusion.

Evidence and testing

A guide should explain what was tested directly, what was confirmed from primary sources, and what remains uncertain. Product manuals, manufacturer specifications and reputable independent sources should be cited when they materially support a claim.

Safety and health

We do not present monitoring, reminder or detection technology as guaranteed protection. Appropriate language includes “may help” and “can provide additional information.” Products do not replace professional care or emergency services.

Corrections
